12th Annual CFSMA Meeting in Shanghai China a Success

The China Friction & Sealing Material Association (CFSMA) held its 12th International Friction & Sealing Material Technology Exchange and Product Exhibition in Shanghai at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center on May 7th and 8th, 2010.

The opening ceremony was attended by China Building Materials Federation Vice Presdient Mr. Lei Qianzhi and Executive Vice President Mr. Sun Xiangyuan. Lei Qianzhi, Sun Xiangyuan, Li Xiaobo, Wang Yao, Roy Link, Tang Peiming, Jossive Vangorkom, Wang Wei also attended the festivity and cut the ribbon for 12th Annual CFSMA Meeting. China Friction & Sealing Material Association president Wang Yao read an address of welcome.

The CFSMA Annual Banquet was held on May 7th and was sponsored by Teijin Aramid, Shanghai Crystal Whisker Composite Company, Cardolite Corporation, and Changzhou Gaoyuan Chemical Company. The evening’s entertainment was well received by all, incorporating singing, dancing, music and magic.

Attendance at the 12th Annual CFSMA Meeting included thousands of experts, scholars and related businessmen from China and more than 30 countries around the world. The presence of delegates from many world renowned companies and support of friction and sealing materials industry insiders resulted in a highly successful Technology Exchange and Product Exhibition.

During the annual meeting, CFSMA , Link Engineering Company, TRW and Bosch hosted a “Friction Material and Brake System Seminar”. The seminar incorporated many topics such as new friction materials, new sealing materials, new equipment, new production processes, and the status of the international. Excellent presentations were given by more than 20 experts, including representatives from the State information Center, The Urban Transport Center (UTC) of the Ministry of Construction, Link Engineering Company, TRW, Bosch and Central South University.

The Sealing Material Seminar involved stimulating discourse led by delegates from Tianjin Polytechnic University, East China University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Technology, Zhejiang Cathay Group and Valgua.
